Product Mentoring: Turn Your Ideas Into On-Line Products and Services If you're an "information expert", you probably make money from delivering the ideas in your head through speaking, coaching, facilitating, writing, training, mentoring, or other similar means. What's in the program? This is a 90-day program where I'll work closely with you to create products and services that build on your expertise and your existing offerings. The package has a range of activities. I'll explain some of the key features and how they will increase your value in the marketplace. Product Audit I'll send you a product audit to help you catalogue your current product and service offerings. You might be surprised at just how much you've got already! Planning Session We follow that up with a one-hour telephone planning session to discuss the Product Audit, and identify opportunities for creating new on-line products and services. We'll make sure things fit your business strategy, follow a logical sequence, and lead to easy "wins" that boost your bottom line quickly. Mentoring Sessions Over the following three months, we'll have a half-hourly scheduled phone consultation every two weeks (or an hourly phone session every month, if you prefer). These regular sessions are designed to keep you on track with executing your plan. At the end of each session, I'll send you an audio recording for your reference. You will also develop a "Next Steps" report of action steps from the session. If you have an implementor or support person, invite them to join the telephone sessions. Or send them the MP3 recordings of each session. Additional Access The mentoring program is based on access, not on hourly rates. The scheduled phone sessions are to keep us focussed, but you also have access to me at other times as well. I'll be available when you require help, and I'll keep you front of my mind when I find new opportunities. I'll give you a special e-mail address and my mobile phone number, so that you get priority access to me outside our scheduled sessions. This allows you to call me up for quick advice on things in between our scheduled sessions. You can also send me material to review - whether it's in the form of products, marketing material, e-books, newsletters, whatever. Additional Sessions If you require longer phone sessions during the 90-day period, they are available at 50% discount on Gihan's current consulting rate (The current rate is $1,200 per session). Is this right for you? The Product Mentoring package will require you to take some important steps during the 90 days, and I will hold you accountable. None of this is difficult, but it does require focus! That means that it's not for everybody. We'd love to work with you if you're professional, profitable and prolific - and you'd like to be more professional, more profitable and more prolific. Here's what we mean ... Professional: We work with professionals, who are proud of their ideas, products and services; and who believe in making a difference by sharing them with others. Profitable: We help you leverage your expertise, so you must already have a successful, viable business. If you're just starting out, this probably isn't the right program for you. Prolific: On the Internet, you have to prove you're an expert even before people visit your Web site. That's why we help you leverage your expertise in a newsletter, blog, podcast, discussion groups, and other on-line places. To do this, you must be ready and willing to produce high-value content regularly. Otherwise, it's difficult for us to help you leverage it! As a minimum, you should be producing at least one piece of new content every month (e.g. an article, newsletter, or blog post).
